How an RO plant works

Raw water first passes through a multi-media sand filter and activated carbon filter to remove suspended solids, chlorine and odour. Depending on the water, we add a softener or iron removal filter, followed by antiscalant dosing and a micron cartridge filter. A high-pressure pump then pushes the water through RO membranes, which remove dissolved salts (TDS), heavy metals and microbes. Finally, UV or ozone treatment keeps the treated water safe in storage.
